"No matter what year you were born, by the time you finish high school, its a completely different world. Today's high school seniors were born prior to the World Wide Web, wireless internet, digital phones, and changes in world politics that were never imagined.
Compare the technology, political, social world we live in today, and you realize quickly. None of us are born in to the world we live in..."

I work with a 23-year-old, very professional and smart woman. Halfway through a conversation about politics she mentioned she was waiting for the school bus when she heard about 9/11. Dude, she was 16 when 9/11 happened. She's the same age as my high school diploma. She says Hendrix is overrated as a guitarist, and she remembers what quadratic equations are for. God DAMN it!
Quadratic what? Weren't those the stereos with four speakers? Why is this woman thinking about that, at this time of 7.1 surround sound? I'd say this "youngster" needs to get with the times, and put aside the old fashion idea of quadratic whatever they are.
